Our Story

From the Heart of TelaCuento

TelaCuento was born from my love for art, storytelling, and the beauty of being a woman. As a Colombian fashion designer and illustrator, I created the brand from a desire to offer something I felt was missing in fashion, pieces made with meaning, intention, and soul.

With a background in fashion design and a lifelong passion for illustration, I searched for garments that felt like art. When I couldn’t find pieces that honoured colour, craftsmanship, and femininity without compromise, I chose to create them myself. Every TelaCuento piece begins as a hand painted illustration, inspired by nature, travel, memory, and the stories that shape my inner world.

From our Hands in Colombia to Yours

TelaCuento is proudly made in Colombia, from the sourcing of materials to the final stitches. I choose small batch production over mass manufacturing, valuing quality, care, and longevity at every step.

Nothing is rushed. Nothing is wasted. Leftover fabrics are carefully reimagined into new designs, ensuring each material is respected and every piece carries intention.

Those who Stitch our Stories to Life

To bring these illustrations to life, I work closely with artisans and women makers across Colombia, including Wayuu communities and elder women whose hands add the final details to each piece. These collaborations are built on trust, respect, and shared standards of excellence.

Each partnership is developed exclusively for TelaCuento, preserving traditional techniques while transforming them into contemporary, wearable pieces guided by my designs.

A Story Built with Purpose

TelaCuento exists for women who seek more from what they wear, more meaning, more beauty, more care. Every piece reflects my commitment to thoughtful design, ethical production, and the belief that clothing can carry stories worth keeping.
